Why One Size Does NOT Fit All

Stacks of coats for Operation Warm

If you have older siblings, it’s likely that you’ve received some hand-me-downs as a child. Perhaps they didn’t always fit to your liking or just didn’t feel like yours when you wore them. It’s also very likely that you didn’t feel confident or excited about what you were wearing. In communities all over the U.S., children may walk a mile or more to school in frigid temperatures. Some of the students are well-equipped with warm coats, hats, and gloves. But some are clad in sweatshirts and sweaters, racing down the sidewalks to reach the warmth of their school building. Perhaps they’ve grown out of their coat. Perhaps another sibling is using it. Perhaps it’s so worn and tattered, that they’d rather not wear it. Or perhaps they’ve just never had one to call their own.

Made Just for Kids

Partnering with Operation Warm is a way to give children in need the gift of hope, warmth, and a boost of self-confidence. Operation Warm believes that every child, regardless of circumstance, deserves their own brand new coat. While used coats provide warmth and shelter from biting cold temperatures and the elements, the emotional connection simply doesn’t happen. When a child is given a brand new coat – one that they’ve picked out themselves in their favorite color, with all the bells and whistles – it gives them the jolt of excitement associated with receiving something new that no one else has ever owned before.

Operation Warm Coats are More Than Coats

The team at Operation Warm designs their coats for maximum warmth and durability, equipping them with details and styling that are kid friendly. The coats have deep pockets for cold hands, warm hoods for cold ears, and a soft fleece lining that feels safe and comfortable. And with 18 different style and color combinations for each gender, picking out the new coat feels just like shopping! Operation Warm’s director of operations, Liz Lewis works to make sure the coats are designed with color and style trends to ensure the coats are fashionable. “The Operation Warm staff votes on colors each year,” Liz said. “We want the coats to blend in with all the other coats out there, but we also want them to be kid friendly.”

IGS Energy Knows that One Size Does Not Fit All

Just like Operation Warm, we at IGS Energy know that one size does not fit all. We know that no energy bill looks the same. And that’s why we want to help make sure you’re selecting the right energy products for you. Maybe you’d prefer a long-term product that gives you consistency on your rate for up to 36-months, or perhaps you’re passionate about reducing your carbon footprint and want your energy to come from green sources; whatever you’re looking to get out of an energy company, we want to help!
