This Saturday, Consider the Value of Shopping Small

This Small Business Saturday, IGS commends the dedication of the countless small business owners working across the country. This day puts the products and services they proudly offer in the limelight, and emphasizes the value of shopping small, which can boost local economies by employing area residents while keeping profits in the communities they serve.

As a family-owned company ourselves, IGS recognizes the importance of supporting small, local businesses. With a strong foundation, many of these organizations can influence not only their own families’ futures, but those around them.

Case in point, we’re glad to serve the energy needs of Zest Juice Co., a Central Ohio small business. With five locations throughout the area, Zest was launched by husband and wife team, Jordan and Natalie Helman. The local establishment has built its business by offering a menu of juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and raw goods that are nutrient-rich, natural, and fresh.

“We are passionate about the health and well-being of our community,” said Natalie. “Columbus is our home, and we are proud to support organizations, people, and causes that are working toward a healthier tomorrow.”

They have such a strong commitment to making a difference in their community. By helping them control their energy costs, they’re able to invest more into the causes that matter most to them.” Not surprisingly, Jordan noted that Zest proudly gives back to organizations that emphasize health and wellness, such as Pelotonia and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

“We’ve experienced incredible growth over the years, and we know that managing our expenses where we can (like energy costs) makes even bigger things possible for our business,” he said.
