With a goal to integrate the use of renewable energy, the City of Lexington, Nebraska, explored available opportunities. However, the upfront costs presented a challenge to the municipality.
RESOLUTION
The City of Lexington partnered with IGS Solar on the installation of what was noted as the second largest solar array (12,600 panels) in the state of Nebraska (at the time). The system is designed to meet 3% of the City’s annual power needs.
