Dublin, OH, April 26, 2017– IGS Energy recently became a member of the City of Columbus’ GreenSpot program. The program, launched in July 2008, was designed to inspire, educate and recognize businesses, residents and community groups in the Columbus area who are committed to sustainable practices.

“I am proud to join the ranks of GreenSpot businesses,” said Anna Sommers, IGS Energy’s director of building relations & facilities management. “GreenSpot is all about saving your bottom line while protecting the planet, which is something IGS Energy understands.”

To be eligible for a GreenSpot, IGS Energy committed to a variety of green efforts. These commitments fall into five categories: inform and engage; reduce, reuse and recycle; conserve energy; conserve and protect water; and travel green.

“We are thrilled to be part of the GreenSpot program,” said Sommers. “Not only does the initiative help keep us motivated in terms of our environmental commitment, but it also encourages the community to take an active role as well.”
