IGS Solar Partners with GRID Alternatives for Solar System Installation

Dublin, OH, June 13, 2018 – IGS Solar partnered with GRID Alternatives to install a solar system on a low-income home in Van Nuys, California. GRID Alternatives is a national leader in making clean, affordable solar power and solar jobs accessible to low-income communities and communities of color. The residents will save $24,000 in energy costs over their new system’s lifetime.

GRID Alternative’s vision is a transition to clean, renewable energy that includes everyone. Installing solar systems on low-income homes allows residents to reap the benefits of energy savings while also helping the environment. Since GRID Alternative was founded in 2001, they have installed a total of 9,632 systems, prevented 829,942, trained 35,344 participants, and have a total of $303 million in lifetime savings.

IGS employees spent the day working alongside GRID Alternatives to install the new solar system.
